How pools work
A progressive pool looks like a bonus sitting on top of the game. It is the opposite: the money in it was taken out of the advertised return before you ever saw a spin. Four numbers describe the whole mechanism, three of them decide what the game is worth to you, and operators publish the one that decides nothing.
The advertised RTP already contains the jackpot. It was never added on top.
What actually defines a progressive pool
Every progressive jackpot, however it is dressed up on screen, is described completely by four numbers. Three of them are usually withheld.
Of those four, operators reliably show you only the current value, which is the one number that follows from the other four rather than defining anything.
The part of the advertised RTP you only receive if you win
This is the piece most players have never had spelled out. A jackpot game's advertised RTP is not all available to you during ordinary play. Part of it is the jackpot contribution, and that part is returned to exactly one player.
Read the second tile carefully. A game sold as 96.50% behaves like a 94.50% game for every player who does not win the jackpot, which is very nearly all of them. The advertised figure is honest across the whole population and misleading about your own experience, and both of those statements are true at the same time.
The contribution rate is the input that decides this, and it is the input operators do not print. If you cannot find it, you cannot work out what the game returns to you during ordinary play. That is not a small omission.
Four questions that separate a documented pool from a decorated one
You can check all four of these yourself against whatever the operator publishes. If the answer to a question is not printed anywhere, that is the finding.
We have not found seed values, contribution rates or ceilings published for the 918Kiss pools. If you find any of them published by the operator, this page is wrong on that point and the source is worth more than anything written here.
Frequently asked
A small fixed fraction of every qualifying bet is diverted into a shared pool instead of being paid back through the reels. The pool grows until a trigger fires, one player receives it, and the pool resets to a seed value. The contribution comes out of the game's advertised return rather than being added to it.
No. The advertised RTP already includes the jackpot contribution. Excluding the jackpot, the base game returns the advertised figure minus the contribution rate, which is why a 96.50% game with a 2.00% contribution behaves like a 94.50% game for everybody who does not win the pool.
On most progressive designs a larger bet buys a proportionally larger share of the trigger probability, so the chance per ringgit staked stays the same while the amount at risk rises. Some games instead require a minimum bet to qualify at all, in which case betting under it means contributing nothing and winning nothing.
Because publishing it lets anyone compute the base game return, which is always lower than the advertised number. Providers state an RTP because regulators in some markets require it. Almost none state the split, and no rule compels them to.
The figures this page needs, and where they are
The split above takes two inputs. One is published and one usually is not.
47 Pragmatic Play titles with the published figure and a source link for each, ranging from 95.45% to 97.02%. That is the number the jackpot contribution comes out of.
Providers ship a title at several RTP settings and the operator picks one. A split computed from the wrong advertised figure is wrong by the same amount.
House edge and cost per hour from an RTP and a bet size. Feed it the base RTP from the tile above rather than the advertised one and the answer changes materially.
